Samson has been nicknamed Mr Dedicated by our team. The 43-year-old father-of-six has raised 5,000 seedlings pine trees when we are closing this planting season.
He said, “This is my first year to grow trees with Ripple Africa and I am loving every moment.”
However, Samson has been planting trees for 10 years now and many people in the community have often laughed at him.
Another new tree farmer said, “We used to think that the trees he was planting were useless and he will not benefit from them.”
Samson is now an inspiration and other farmers look up to him for guidance. He said, “Even if it means being an unsung hero, I want to contribute to this war on climate change.”
