It is important to ensure that the Government Departments that we work with at community level are able to get out and do their jobs in the same way as our teams. This maximises the work that can be achieved.
With this in mind, we recently donated three motorbikes to the Department of Forestry to support our Forest Conservation project in Mzimba District. We will provide a monthly fuel allowance too.
Our Country Director, Force Ngwira said, “Forestry officials were having difficulties doing their extension work particularly in hard to reach areas as they did not have adequate transport. With the provision of motorbikes, we have now reduced the issue.”
