Fishy farmers are earning an income from their vegetables

Vegetable progress

In June we shared the story about Fishy Farmers and how we were trialling the Vegetable and Chicken project with a number of the Beach Village Committees, Forest Conservation Committees, and Women’s and Men’s Groups that we work with.

We promised to keep you posted with updates and we are pleased to say that there has been great progress. In one week, Mauluka Forest Conservation Committee made 27,000MK and they are ready to earn more. The Chairman said, “This will positively, and easily, change our livelihoods.”

These Committees and Groups have continued to sell vegetables and some are starting their chicken businesses. More updates to come!
