Meet three of our top readers at Reading Club.
Pemphero attends Kazando Primary School. He is in Standard 3 and has been attending our reading club for a year. His favourite book is The Odd Pet. He said, “I like to read and learn. When I am older, I want to be a teacher.” In his latest Assessment he scored 97%.
Lydia is in Standard 5 at Mwaya Primary School. Her favourite book is Star & Fish and she enjoys coming to the reading club to learn new things by reading books. She said she finds certain words and sentences hard but one day, would love to be a doctor. In her latest Assessment she scored 93%.
Maria attended Matete Primary School and she has been attending reading club for a year. She said, “I like learning phonics and English. I find writing it hard though. When I leave school, I wish to train as a nurse.” In her latest Assessment she scored 100%.
