It’s National Superhero Day today and we’re celebrating 12-year-old Matthew.
We are grateful to everyone who fundraises for us but we are especially touched when children take it upon themselves to want to do something to help.
Matthew is one young person raising money for Ripple Africa. He has been growing tomato plants in the family greenhouse and selling the plants.
Matthew says he chose Ripple Africa because, “Ripple Africa uses the money wisely and tell us what they are spending it on. They help to plant fruit trees which wouldn’t be cut down because they supply families with a source of food, and also protect the environment.”
His mum Sarah said that Matthew thought it was a clever idea and so far, his donation of £72.65 has helped communities grow and plant 72 fruit trees.
Thank you Matthew!
