School students are always happy and interested when the team visit and do activities with them. We teach them how to plant fruit tree seedlings but importantly, we also teach about spacing the trees, caring for them, and pest and disease control measures.
Some students live with their grandparents who do not know about some of these improved orchard activities so the students share their new knowledge with them. Planting these seeds of knowledge can inspire young people to plant trees and educate their own families.
