Students at Kapanda Secondary School are now able to study at both the school and at our community library.
After the school recently refurbished a study room into a library, one of our funders helped buy a total of 672 textbooks, half for the school library and half for the community library. This allows students to stay after school and for those students in Open School they can access copies of the textbooks at the library before they go to school at 2pm.
Although 250 students attend Day School, Kapanda also offers education to a further 200 pupils through the Open School, an option for people who were unable to attend secondary school through normal routes. The classes are run in the afternoon when the day school finishes.
