Maggie Tembo may be a name familiar to some of you. Why? Maggie is one our tree planting farmers who started planting trees in 2015.

At the time of meeting Maggie, she had three woodlots but she has expanded on this and now has five. Last year was her final year of planting out as she has used the land available to her. Now Maggie and her children care for their trees and coppice branches which they can use for firewood.

When we originally shared her story, her husband was recovering from a stroke and it was a pleasure to see him walking again after months of rehabilitation.

A brilliant family really set out to make a success of their tree planting.
