Our briquette project is expanding from seven clubs to 60 clubs this year. Aaron, Project Coordinator, works with the community clubs training them on how to make biochar and make briquettes.
This project has the potential to be an alternative to illegal charcoal, reducing deforestation and providing a sustainable cooking fuel.
Some of the clubs have started selling their briquettes and they are earning between 10,000MK (approx. £4) and 22,000MK (approx. £9) per day depending on their location.
