Fanny is four years old and attends Katenthere Pre-school. Her favourite toys are the dolls, and she knows the alphabet and numbers up to 10. When asked what she would like to do when she is older, she said, “I would like to go to school.”
More often than not in Malawi, pre-schools are run by communities. They lack financial support, resources and often are unable to maintain the buildings in which they teach the children.
Therefore, we are proud to be making a difference to children like Fanny by providing quality early years education.
We run eight pre-schools which are maintained and equipped with the essential components necessary to provide this foundation. This includes toys, books, mini blackboards and chalk, pens, and a breakfast of sweet potato and tea.
