Salima District Fisheries Office have confiscated 165 units of Monofilament nets, a Kandwindwi Seine net, over 900 meters of ropes, and a boat anchor during an operation against illegal fishing methods on Lake Malawi.
The confiscated materials are being held while authorities work to arrest the people responsible who will face legal action and fines under fisheries conservation regulations.
