Adam is a member of the Kapanda Briquette Club. He is busy mixing carbonised agricultural waste so that the Club can turn it into briquettes for cooking with.
This project is very much in the pilot stage but we are optimistic that we can create a sustainable alternative to charcoal for urban areas.
Our fuel-efficient cookstoves are great in rural areas but are not always as successful in urban areas due to people renting and therefore people coming and going.
We will be creating a project video soon which will show the full process including the very important cooking stage.
