We are often greeted with singing and dancing when we are visiting householders to see how they are using our Changu Changu Moto fuel-efficient cookstoves but Evyline here even decided to paint this beautiful welcome sign on her kitchen.
Our team not only work with the householders to build the fuel-efficient cookstoves but re-visit time and again to make sure that they are in use, are being maintained and that the householder is using the right wood size.
As the project has expanded into other Districts where deforestation has left vast areas void of trees, the Changu Changu Moto really helps families as they only need one bundle of wood per week compared to three bundles previously needed on the traditional three stone fire.
