When we visit beneficiaries of our projects, it’s not necessarily at their home as was the case on this day when we met up with some of the sweet potato vine multiplication farmers.
We have introduced you to Witness before, and there’s an update which we will share next week, but we thought this video walking to the field shared what the landscape is in rural Malawi. Plus, look at the balance and control Witness has carrying the basin on her head.
The multiplication farmers grow the vines in the dambo area (wetland area) so we had a 15 minute walk up and down the hillside to get to the fields.
Every farmer knows which farmland is theirs, and these farmers are really passionate about farming sweet potato vines as they have seen the positive impact in their village from the sale of the vines.
