Enjoy a visit and experience the beauty of rural life in Malawi

VISITING MALAWI

Malawi was named one of the top 10 countries to visit in the world in 2014 by Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel 2014, and we encourage donors, visitors, including families, and former volunteers to come and stay with us. We have two lovely properties right on the shores of Lake Malawi – Mwaya Beach and Lowani Beach.

We have cottages and chalets to choose from, with the possibility to camp, and our passionate staff can take you to visit our many and varied projects. This will give you a real insight into the work that Ripple Africa does in the local area.

Visiting Malawi will also give you the opportunity to find out about life in rural Africa, and, of course, you will be staying in one of the most idyllic unspoiled locations on the shores of Lake Malawi to rest and relax at the end of a busy day.

Getting Involved With Ripple Africa’s Projects

Whilst staying at Mwaya or Lowani Beach, you can immerse yourselves in the local culture and will be able to visit a variety of Ripple Africa’s projects, including education, agriculture and environmental projects. This will be a trip that you and your family or friends will remember forever. The people and the area will touch your hearts.

This opportunity is a unique experience and provides a valuable insight into the lives of rural communities in Malawi, Africa, and into the work that Ripple Africa is doing.

We know that you will be truly inspired by what you see and experience. However, opportunities to visit are limited so that the experience is always special and the innocence of the local community is not spoiled by too many visitors.

Group Volunteering Abroad – Team Building

Whether you are a school group, a group of colleagues, or a corporate group, coming to a place like Malawi to experience life there, plus taking part in another activity such as a safari to South Luangwa National Park in neighbouring Zambia, is an ideal opportunity for the group to work together as a team. The group volunteering abroad experience is definitely life-changing, and it will build a strong bond between the group members.

VISITING MALAWI - See More of Africa

If you are travelling all the way to Africa, it would also be a great opportunity to experience a safari whilst you are there such as a trip to one of Malawi’s National Parks or to South Luangwa National Park in neighbouring Zambia.
