UNESCO have partnered with Ripple Africa to offset their carbon footprint

UNESCO Offset

UNESCO works with Ripple Africa on Carbon Offset Projects!

We are proud to share that UNESCO has purchased carbon offsets from Ripple Africa this year, directly contributing to our environmental projects in Malawi.

By choosing our offsets, UNESCO is helping:
✅ Reduce deforestation by replacing traditional three-stone fires with fuel-efficient cookstoves
✅ Protect tree species by cutting firewood demand by two-thirds as families now use twigs and branches instead of larger branches
✅ Improve health outcomes for women and children by reducing smoke pollution
✅ Provide a safer cooking method reducing the risk of cooking-related burns
✅ Ease pressure on families who spend less time and money collecting or buying firewood
✅ Empower communities through local training, employment, and ownership of sustainable solutions This partnership reinforces the global importance of grassroots climate action. Every cookstove built brings us closer to a healthier life for people and the planet.

Thank you, UNESCO, for offsetting your carbon footprint with us.
