Maintenance teams are fixing boreholes in Nkhotakota in Malawi

Turning on a tap

Turning on a tap is a privilege that many take for granted so as the maintenance team provide clean water to more communities in Salima District, let us share an update of the boreholes repaired in Nkhotakota District recently.

100 boreholes were fixed and 51,570 people benefited. Some of the boreholes were at primary schools so we are pleased that more than 13,000 students have access to clean drinking water now whilst at school.

Can you imagine living for months on end without access to safe drinking water, often having to walk miles to the nearest working borehole? It’s amazing how a couple of hours of maintenance can be so life-changing.
