“I want to have money saved to pay for family to receive medical care when they are sick. I want to be able to buy livestock and set up a farm. I would like to build a house.”
These are three of the reasons Andrea started planting trees. Almost 50 and with six children, Andrea wants to plan for the future.
He is keen to protect existing forests so wanted to plant trees which can be used for timber in the future. This avoids forests from being cut down.
Since he started tree planting with Ripple Africa in 2016 he has planted 2,050 indigenous, fruit and quick-growing trees.
