For the majority of the farmers that we worked with, they had a good year and although it is not uncommon for the farmers to have experience growing the local sweet potato varieties, they are happy to grow the improved varieties of orange-fleshed sweet potato as these are more nutritious and flavoursome. We have also shared some of the challenges that faced farmers affected by drought and floods.
