We are always glad to see other organisations using our Quick Guides to start their own projects such as building fuel-efficient cookstoves in villages they are working in.
Recently the Friends of The William Stewart Centre shared photos from their team who are in Chitipa, northern Malawi. They are sponsoring apprentices to build fuel-efficient cookstoves thanks to funding from Welding Engineers.
They explained that they are currently sponsoring 51 youngsters to either go to school or to take part in their apprentice scheme which aims to teach them valuable life skills.
They said, ” Please meet Gogo NaMsukwa who has had one of your eco stoves built for her by our apprentices. We know our stoves aren’t perfect but we are getting better with each one!!”
Good luck to all of their apprentices. If anyone else would like to build a fuel-efficient cookstove, or see our other Quick Guides, you can download them here.
