Play is an important part of the day at pre-school and with various areas to choose from, the children disperse to play with the toy cars, balls, and blocks, or explore the nature section or their creativity.
For some, like this little girl, they make a beeline for the dolls and fabrics and role-play mothers and babies. Children the world over imitate the people around them, and putting on the chitenje headscarf and the baby on their backs, is what they see their mothers, aunts, sisters do.
We are really grateful that our pre-schools have the some toys and play resources as it is important to allow the children to learn through play alongside the other lessons that we provide.
