Thandi and Mellifer are best friends, and they do everything together including attending Reading Group every Friday afternoon.
The nine-year-old girls are in Standard 4 at Primary School and love coming to the group because they can practice their English.
As best friends, they both want to be nurses together when they grow up and know that English will be important in this role.
Watching them in the session, their arms shoot up in the air when teacher Ellen asks the class a question. With a smile, Ellen tells the girls she has to give the other students a chance; Thandi and Mellifer giggle.
Over the last few months, the girls confidence in speaking English has excelled and they have even started reading books that daunted them before.
