Whilst many would be frustrated with a rainy day, Mirriam praises the rain as without it, her sweet potatoes won’t grow. She is growing Royal Choice and Chipika varieities of the improved orange-fleshed sweet potato and she is excited for the harvest next month.
She said, “I have heard from my friends that it is much sweeter and that the yield should be greater so I can provide my grandchildren with breakfast before school.”
