We have recently carried out maintenance on a number of pre-schools including Mazembe and after repairs were finished and a new lick of paint on the walls, it was time for the painting team to get creative.
On Saturday they welcomed the help of volunteers Emma and Kaitlin who helped paint the numbers, letters, days of the week, months of the year, the weather and the first of the animals!
There is still more art work to finish but the teachers and children are excited to be teaching and learning in their classroom again.
Whilst repairing cracks in the floor or walls might not sound exciting, it’s an important part of keeping the eight pre-schools a safe and fun learning environment.
On-going funding is needed each year and we’re extremely grateful to those donors who have supported the recent works.
