One of the most humble couples we have met. Mr and Mrs Phiri live in Dewe area and have been working together to plant out their 1,000 seedlings. When we took this photo, there were only 100 left to plant out.
Both in their 80’s, they have six children and many grandchildren. Mr Phiri said, “I might be old but I am strong and eager to plant trees for my family.”
