Flooding displaces thousands in Nkhotakota District in Malawi

Nkhotakota Flooding

We are disheartened to be running another Flood Appeal but torrential rains have caused huge areas of flooding in Nkhotakota District in the Central Region of Malawi.

Thousands of people have been displaced and search and rescue teams are trying to rescue those that have been trapped by the floodwaters.

Our team are doing all they can on the ground including our Fish Conservation District Manager, Joyce Banda, who is part of the Task Force Team for Disasters.

However, we need your help too so that we can deliver urgent food supplies and essential items such as blankets. More than 7,000 people are displaced and living in nine emergency shelters.

If you can, please make a donation today: https://rippleafrica.org/2024-flooding-appeal/
