The farmers we are working with this year have received training on the best way to grow the different varieties of orange-fleshed sweet potato.
The training will help the farmers properly manage their improved sweet potato vines including planting them, field hygiene, harvesting, and storage of the sweet potatoes and vines.
One of the Lead Farmers helping at the training was Kettie. As a Lead Farmer, she will support 20 farmers throughout the year to ensure they successfully grow sweet potatoes and look after the vines in between growing seasons.
