It’s National Potato Day and although our project is sweet potatoes, we are hoping we can get in on the celebrations by sharing this story.
Agnes is 32 and a mother of two. This is her first year involved in the project and she has been able to plant half an acre of three different varieties of orange-fleshed sweet potatoes.
The potatoes will provide her with food for her family plus she will sell any surplus at market. Agnes already grows vegetables to sell at the market so will be able to add these to her stall.
