Repairing boreholes is an important project to ensure communities have access to safe clean water not only for drinking but for cooking and bathing in too.
We have formed excellent working relationships with the District Maintenance teams where we work and have jointly identified boreholes and shallow wells that need to be repaired.
We then provide the necessary spare parts for the repairs and ensure that they can get out to the different villages where the broken boreholes are.
This week we joined them to see several of the boreholes repaired. This included one village that had been without a working borehole for four years.
We’ll share more on the communities we’ve been helping soon but to learn more about the project click here.
