Happy World Wildlife Day! We are thrilled to share that Nkhotakota have confiscated a total of 21 kilometers of monofilament fishing nets! This is a huge win for fish conservation in the incredible Lake Malawi.
Monofilament nets are illegal in Malawi due to their destructive, non-biodegradable nature. Despite the ban, there are still fishermen that use them in Lake Malawi, making these confiscations incredibly important in protecting our wildlife.
