One of our areas of focus this year for the Family Planning and Sexual Health project is getting more men involved. One way the team are doing this is with eight local football teams. We meet with them during the week to discuss a variety of topics relating to population growth, relationships, Family Planning etc., and then on the weekends they get to play mini-matches together.
We hope to expand on the number of teams but will monitor the interest and discussions with the 64 boys and young men currently enrolled on the teams.
Watson said, “We are hoping to grow the Fukamapiri Men’s Movement so that it mirrors the success of the female groups.”
