What a catch! This artisan fishermen in Nkhata Bay is enjoying fishing again as he is not only able to catch fish but catch the right size Chambo fish. 

Through our Fish for Tomorrow project we are working with Beach Village Committees, not only in Nkhata Bay District but in four other Districts too, to protect more than 130 fish breeding areas.

The breeding grounds provide the ideal place for baby fish to grow and be protected from predators. This allows the fish to grow and be caught as full-size fish, like those in the photo, ensuring fishermen’s livelihoods are protected too.
