It’s no wonder Malawi is known as the Warm Heart of Africa, the people really do have the warmest hearts.
Community fruit tree groups have been distributing fruit trees to vulnerable people to enable these families to become self-sufficient.
Philip has been supported by our Disabilities and Rehabilitation project since he was a baby and the fruit tree farmers in his local area gifted 25 fruit trees to his relatives so that they not only have a source of food but can generate an income too.
Our fruit tree project manager Maston said, “We have worked closely with Matilda who runs the disabilities project to know which families would benefit. We have then helped community groups to distribute the fruit trees.”
Philip’s family received papaya, guava, tangerine, orange and avocado trees.
