We are really grateful that 14 of our pre-school teachers were selected to attend a two-week training course to become Early Childhood Development Mentors.
The training covered various topics including child development, learning through play, health, care and hygiene, nutrition, children’s rights and welfare, and the care of children with special needs.
All of our eight pre-schools were represented and we would like to thank the Nkhata Bay District Social Welfare team who chose the teachers to attend, and World Vision who provided funding support for the course.
We are hopeful that our remaining pre-school teachers will be selected when the next course takes place.
