We mentioned last Sunday about a farmer named Dawira. Although this post is not sharing his story (that’ll be next Sunday) we did want to put a face to the name.
Dawira (right) and fellow farmers including Andrea (left) have harvested the sweet potato vines that they have grown. They have been bundled and piles and piles of them are being distributed to local farming families within Nkhata Bay District. These improved orange-fleshed sweet potatoes are not only high yielding but rich in Vitamin A too.
