Thank you to everyone who has supported our appeal to raise funds to enable us to deliver food supplies and other essential items such as blankets and buckets to Southern Malawi following Cyclone Freddy. We have been seeing a great response and have so far raised over £4,000.
Unfortunately, we had a glitch with our donation form for a short time when the campaign launched and some people may have experienced problems in donating. We are pleased to say this has been fixed and if you did try without success, please feel free to try again.
Government statistics show that Cyclone Freddy has so far killed nearly 600 people and has also displaced hundreds of thousands of people who are now sheltering in over 500 evacuation camps. It is expected to be declared the longest-ever cyclone in recorded history and much work is needed to support affected people to recover and cope with the disaster. We are therefore continuing our appeal.
If you would like to help, you can make a donation here. Thank you for your continued support.
