The roof on the Standard 7 and 8 classroom block at Mazembe Primary School collapsed in November 2020.

The wooden timbers had been badly affected by termites and one of the roof trusses had completely collapsed. Fortunately, this happened over a weekend so no one was injured.

We are excited that we have received funding to carry out these repairs. Schools are currently closed in Malawi due to the coronavirus pandemic but at least when the students return, they will have a classroom to learn in.

We are also carrying out repairs on another classroom block at Matete Primary School.
