Mr Mwale, pictured in the blue t-shirt, has four children and lives in Vuluvundu Mwale village. He welcomed the pine tree project as he appreciates the need for sustainable sources of timber. This year he has raised 2,300 seedlings and together with his family, they have planted them out on their land.
Mr Mwale said, “I have warmly welcomed the project as it embarks on environmental restoration and sustainability. We will harvest the trees and produce timber which is a source of income, economically boosting our households.”
