We have been driving hundreds of kilometres each day to visit householders in Salima, Nkhotakota and Mzimba Districts.
Meeting communities in remote locations, the aim of the visits was to see how receptive householders have been to the Changu Changu Moto fuel-efficient cookstove – and we have been blown away by the enthusiasm and general love for the project.
Each village welcomed us with singing and dancing, and the last village even put on a play.
The artwork on the cookstoves and in the kitchens is amazing and after talking to so many women, it’s clear how much of a positive impact the cookstoves are having on their lives.
We’ll share more photos and stories of the impact but for now, enjoy this beautiful singing. The lyrics, written by the group, talk about the benefits of the Changu Changu Moto fuel-efficient cookstove and we think you’ll agree, the harmonies are spot on!
