Six weeks ago we introduced you to Witness, one of the sweet potato multiplication farmers. We shared her dreams and hopes for the future as she was preparing for her second vine harvest.

Fast forward to today and we received this lovely message from Francis, our Sweet Potato Project Manager. He said, “Here’s Witness, one of our commercial multiplication farmers. When I recently visited them for another supply of vines, she invited me to her house only to find that she had bought cement.”

Witness was beaming with happiness and said to Francis, “I promised Nikki (our Corporate Partnerships Manager) that I wanted to change things for my family by selling vines, and now I’ve started. Look at the bags”.

What an impact in a matter of weeks. We can’t wait to visit her later this year and see how things continue to change and improve for Witness and her family.

Keep an eye out for our 2023 Sweet Potato Report, it’s coming soon.
