Henderson and Fanny are glad to be addressing deforestation by planting trees in Malawi

Addressing deforestation

Meet Henderson and Fanny. Together they are raising 4,000 tree seedlings as they not only want to provide a future for their six children but have witnessed deforestation take place around them.

Henderson said, “This project provides a solution as it allows us to grow timber trees so that the natural forested areas are protected and can regenerate. I was born in 1948 and I have witnessed the trees disappearing around Malawi.”

The couple, along with their children, hope to be able to set up a commercial farming business in the future.
